Question by Jessica: How do I put avi file type movies from my laptop hard drive onto my iPod?
I have a movie I downloaded, and it’s saved to my hard drive as an avi file. It works and everything, but I just wondering how do I get it into iTunes so I can put it on my iPod? Do I need any special programs to do so?

Question by cassie: How do I download a song from my iTunes onto one of my computer files?
I am putting together a slideshow on windows movie maker and i want to put a song in the background, but the song i want isn’t in my music file on my computer…please help!

Open iTunes, go to the Library view, and browse to your song, having the attention to see where is it located;

Now on windows explorer, navigate to the very same folder, locate the file you want and right-click it, choosing Copy; Now navigate to your Documents folder, My Music folder, right-click on an empty area and choose Paste.

Back in Movie Maker, you should now be able to see your song listed.

I have seen videos on youtube that show people downloading music onto their itouch with an app called islsk. I was wondering if you could download movies as well.

no only music. Even for music u need ur iPod touch/iPhone to be jailbroken

Yes.. either by bluetooth or usb cable.. and technically, you can email it to yourself and then retrieve it. Either way you can move that info to your computer. Normally when you plug your phone to your computer with the usb cable, a pop up box will ask you if you want to “explore” it. If you choose yes then you can see all your pictures and movies. You can then press ctrl A and it will highlight everything in the phone and then right click and choose copy. Then fix your picture folder on your computer then right click and then paste. .. da da da daaaan.. you just backed up all your pics and movies!
